FEVER IN THE NEWS

Sanctioned tournament season is in full swing and the Series is fast approaching. Fever has been having an incredible spring so far, with a few news items worthy of note. For tournament stats, check out our record page.
  • Fever wins Ohio Valley DI Regional Tournament. In a stunning performance in Sherrodsville, OH last weekend, Fever swept the board and won the Regional finals to secure the region's sole bid to Nationals.
  • Fever ranked 3rd overall in the nation. After an incredibly successful last few tournaments, the newly updated College rankings have come out and placed Fever at #3, just behind Oregon and Carleton. This is the highest that Fever has ever been ranked in a regular season and we hope is a sign of our continued growth and progress as a team. Check out the updated rankings here

  • Fever takes 2nd overall at Centex. Last weeked (March 23-24), Fever competed in Centex in Austin, TX and came in 2nd overall, losing a close match to Iowa State in a windy finals game. For the Day 2 recap, click here.

  • Ohio State's own captain, Paige "Diddy" Soper, has been nominated for the most prestigious award an Ultimate player can win: the Callahan. Congratulations, Diddy--we're proud of you and you deserve it. Winners announced in May before the finals of College Nationals. Read about the list of nominees here.

  • Fever takes 1st overall at Music City Mash-Up. Fever certainly didn't take too much time off over our Spring Break, coming out with a vengeance in Nashville, TN March 9-10 to become the champions of Music City Mash-Up.

  • Two Fever players named to the USA U23 team. Our captains Cassie "Bonesaw" Swafford and Paige "Diddy" Soper were both accepted to the National U23 team. This is a tremendous honor and both of them have our support and well wishes. They will be competing at Worlds this summer in Toronto, Canada July 22-28. Check out the team roster here

Notes for the team...

Great work at Regionals, ladies. Now let's make May the best month yet.
Now that we've qualified for Nationals, the work has only just begun. It's time to show the Nation what we've got, and that starts with the work each individual puts into practice this month. For inspiration, re-watch the video our Alum put together just for us to help us through Regionals:
